Parker Room (G-15), Town Office Building 1625 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA Board of Health Members in Attendance: Wendy Heiger-Bernays, PhD, Chair; Sharon MacKenzie R.N., CCM, David S. Geller, M.D. Board of Health Members not in Attendance: Burt M. Perlmutter, M.D., John J. Flynn, J.D. Health Department Attendees: Gerard F. Cody, Health Director Linda Rainville, Clerk Wendy Heiger-Bernays called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m. 1.) Minutes of March 13, 2013 and April 10, 2013. The Board reviewed the minutes of March 13, 2013. MacKenzie motioned to approve minutes as written. Geller seconded. All approved The Board reviewed the minutes of April 10, 2013. MacKenzie motioned to approve minutes with corrections. Geller seconded. All approved 2.) Community Health Updates /Reports The Board reviewed the Community Health Report submitted by David Neylon. 3.) Environmental Health Report a.) Food Inspection Program The Board reviewed the Health Report/Food Inspections Report submitted by Kathy Fox. 1)Ms. Kimberly Crocker and Mr. Robert MacLean Compliments The Board heard from the owners of Compliments regarding their request a Mobile Food Permit. Geller motioned to approve. MacKenzie seconded. All Approved 2)Ms. Mary Bishop Augusta's Chicken The Board heard from the owner of Augusta's Chicken regarding their request a Mobile Food Permit. Geller motioned to approve. MacKenzie seconded. All Approved b.) State Sanitary Code Case Review 1.) Pool Variance request a.) Drummer Boy Green Condominium b.) Avalon at Lexington Hills c.) Avalon at Lexington Ridge d.) Pleasant Brook Pool Assoc. e.) Peacock Farm f.) Moon Hill Community Pool g.) Adams Pool h.) Quality Inn & Suites Pool i.) Aloft Pool @ Paramount Hotel j.) Element Pool @ Paramount Hotel k.) Five Fields Pool 1.) Paint Rock The Board reviewed the requests for variance for the pools listed above. Heiger-Bernays motioned to approve. MacKenzie seconded. All Approved 2.) Oxford Street— update Cody gave the Board an update on the Oxford Street residence. The Health Department conducted eight inspections between October and January with no evidence of illegal burning in wood stove. The house is up for sale. c.) Animal Regulation 1.) Variance Request, 155 East Emerson Road 2.) Animal Permit to keep 8 dogs, 12 Bates Road The Board reviewed a request to keep 8 dogs at 12 Bates Road. Geller motioned to approve. MacKenzie seconded. All Approved 4.) Emergency Preparedness Update a.) EDS tabletop Cody reported to the Board about the EDS Table Top Exercise. He spoke about the In-service training conducted on April 18th for Town Office employees that handle the mail. Cody also informed the Board of the Building a Safer Tomorrow Conference that will take place on May 281h and May 29th at the DCU Center in Worcester MA, Miscellaneous 5.) Old /New Business Heiger-Bernays asked if there was any new information regarding Anaerobic Digester. There was no further information at this time. 6) Next Meeting Next Meeting June 12th MacKenzie motioned to adjourn the meeting. Heiger-Bernays seconded. All Approved Meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
