Call to Order:
The Meeting was called to Order at 7:30PM.

Presentations/Review:
31 Massachusetts Ave- Car Wash
The DAC reviewed (for a third time) a site plan for a new car wash facility at 31 Massachusetts Ave. The
redesign has taken into account previous DAC concerns with respect to the overall intensity of use of this
site. In addition to the site plan, building elevations and signage were presented for review. The building
scale, materials and signage all appear to be appropriate to the surrounding context. One area that remains
a concern is the extremely wide curb cut (3+ lanes). While we understand the functional aspects of the
proposed design, itÓs important to maintain a definition between
remain concerned, for safety reasons, about the reliance of portions of the sidewalk, nearest the vacuum
equipment, being used for transverse traffic circulation within the site. At a minimum, a granite curb with
paving should be introduced in this location to clarify vehicle
recommended approval of the project with the above-mentioned com

The DAC welcomed Patrick Goddard as a new full member of the Design Advisory Committee.
