Lexington Council on the Arts <br />Agenda Minutes December 10, 2012 <br />Munroe Center for the Arts <br />Present: Zoe Perry Wood, Chair; Jan Gopelrud Chris Kyle, Treasurer; Emily <br />Passman; Eddie Huberdaeu <br />Absent: Victoria Campos; Regie Gibson; Diamond Hayes <br />Zoe called the meeting to order at 7:15pm. Chris Kyle took on the role of secretary <br />The December 10, 2012 meeting is our annual voting meeting. Each grant <br />application was considered and discussed. Emily brought dominoes and introduced <br />a method of voting and allocating the grant funds. <br />The Council members present successfully distributed the funds to the eligible <br />applicants. Seven grants were disqualified. Reasons included that the applicants <br />did not have a sponsoring organization, date or venue for proposed performances or <br />events. Emily volunteered to send out the letters to the disqualified applicants <br />before the December 31St deadline. <br />Additional Topics Discussed: <br />• Treasurer's report was accepted <br />• The need for new members was discussed <br />• Chris is moving to Cambridge and will be leaving LCA after the <br />January meeting <br />• Emily reported on the Fund of Lexington <br />• Lexington Open Studios is programing its own nonprofit. Do we want <br />to be included in an overarching nonprofit umbrella with LOS? <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:30 pm. Next meeting January 14, 2013 at Cary Memorial <br />Library. <br />
