<br />Lexington Council for the Arts (LCA) <br />Minutes for Meeting December 8, 2008 <br />Cary Hall, Ellen Stone Room <br /> <br /> <br />Present: Barbara Ciampa, Co-Chair; Louise Cady-Fernandes; Janet Post, Secretary; Jan Goplerud; <br />Zoe Perry Wood, Co Chair; Jonathan Cue; Mary Trometer,Treasurer; Bill Janowitz; Jackie <br />Hawkinson; Sirarpi Heghinian Walzser; Victoria Campos ( our new council member). <br /> <br /> <br />Call to Order <br /> Barbara Ciampa called the meeting to order at 7:11PM <br /> <br />Secretary's Report <br /> The minutes for the November ‘08 meeting were accepted. <br /> <br />Treasurer's Report <br /> <br /> The treasurer’s report was accepted. There is a balance of $ 8821.43 <br /> <br /> <br />Grant Business: <br /> <br />We received 36 grant applications. The grant subcommittee decided at the last meeting to give <br />one grant award to each branch of the arts, which Janet reviewed with us. The council accepted <br />the grant recommendations of the grant subcommittee. Janet and Jan will work together to get <br />the letters out to all the applicants. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />New Business: <br /> <br />??We will move our monthly meeting to the second Monday of every month at 7:00PM at <br />Cary Memorial Library in the learning center. <br /> <br />Business for Next Meeting <br /> <br />??Grant wrap up. <br />??Town Hall art <br />??Website <br />??Budget update from MCC <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 9:00PM.
