Discussion of requested funds spreadsheet and presentations made to date.
DK: Why isn't W&S depreciated?
RB: Not prudent at a municipal level. Don't want W&S Ent. fund to
become a savings plan that is not tax-deductible for the tax payer.
RB to get FY 11 # from LFD. Also RB to figure out what's going on
with MTBE in LFD main station basement.
DK: was settlement money appropriated by Town Meeting? DK to check.
RB: wrt recreation: can they kill the dam at the golf course and let
it just flow down?
TE: wrt DPW facility. No contract yet. Team says: "8-10 weeks" to do
a plan, won't get a price for facility for a while.
CWL to talk to PBC to find out what process was followed?
TE: Comfortable w/ equipment. Will get new # w/o cars for equipment.
Will get better out year #'s.
DK: did they reappropriate $50k in operating budget [yes]
WRT visitors center: Is there a code problem there? FBO Chamber of
Commerce so why should we pay it?
DK: Can DPW actually spend the #'s? Has the sidewalk committe
reported?
Storm sewer: maybe just spend mapping money.
WRT sanitary sewer/water: what's done by in-town staff and what's
contracted?
School Technology: get as much as have $'s available.
WRT school controls
TE: will have to balance everything.
BH: They'll have to prioritize and he'll talk to Dr. Ash about that.
Ask them to itemize $500K misc unidentified $'s.
COA D&E: let them finish the study, but hard row to hoe.
