MEETING 02-06-2002
Called to order 7.45 PM
Present all CEC members
1. Accepted minutes of 1/23 and 2/06 as amended for changing Lincoln
filed
cost to $3.4 million from $3.5 million.
2. Muzzey Condos Article 13. CEC has no info. Will listen to story of
one
owner Joana(?). No action on article.
3. Article 4 -- Diamond school improvements. We have been asked to be
discrete. Discussed that we should push High School modification costs
forward so we can get reimbursement. However it seems SC is not ready
and
just wants a design money. High School modifications may be $2.0
Million
but unknown at present.
4. Article 5 --- Beyond the two schools, SC does not know if it needs
design
money till 4 yrs from now. General discussion on new Vs refurbished
schools. We should SC in fall. The increase in costs to $15 million
plus
for each school is due to two factors -- one they are in 2006 dollars
and
other more features have been added. Unanimously approved the article
except
decided to take out funds for designing two new schools beyond Fiske
and
Harrington.
5. Discussion on CPA --generally "not supportive" but not concluded
yet.
