Lexington Council on the Arts <br />Agenda Minutes February 27, 2012 <br />Cary Memorial Library <br />Present: Zoe Perry Wood, Chair; Jan Gopelrud; Victoria Campos, secretary; Jackie <br />Hawkinson; Emily Passman; Diamond Hayes; Nicholas Rofougaran, guest; and Meg <br />Landers, guest. <br />Absent: Reggie Gibson; Chris Kyle, Treasurer <br />Zoe called the meeting to order at 7:1Spm. <br />Zoe introduced our guest, Nicholas Rofougaran, a potential LCA member. <br />Jan made a motion to accept Jan. minutes; Approved. <br />Topics Discussed: <br />• Open Studios: LCA discussed the possibility of funding the reception for the <br />artists should the Open Studios need our help. <br />• Proposal to come up with a decalfor local businesses to receive for display in <br />their storefront windows that announces their sponsorship of Open Studios <br />and LCA (this in exchange for food donations for the Open Studios reception) <br />• Pins for Arts Council members: "Arts Council: Ask Me!" <br />• Press release to go to LCA grantees in their approval letters; will be <br />submitted to Minuteman <br />• LCA prepared letters for grant recipients <br />• Followed up on the proposal to have each LCA member "adopt" a number of <br />approved projects; member would be expected to attend the event in <br />question, take photos to upload on our website; and write up three lines: <br />Lexington Pops Chorus: Jackie <br />Lexington 300th Anniversary Celebration Committee: Jan <br />Contemporary Arts International: Emily <br />Denise Doucette: Meg <br />Lexington Arts & Crafts Society: Victoria <br />John Root: Diamond <br />Bridge Elementary School: Victoria <br />Sam Doran: Zoe <br />Munroe Saturday Nights: Emily /Victoria (March 10) <br />[MCC site.
