<br /> <br /> 1 <br />LEXINGTON COUNCIL FOR THE ARTS <br />MINUTES OF MARCH 14, 2005 <br /> <br />Present: Ella Bayliss, Marion Kilson, Joan Reddy (Chair) <br /> <br />Call to Order <br /> Joan Reddy, Chairperson of the Lexington Council for the Arts, called the <br /> meeting to order at 7:00p.m. and distributed the meeting agenda. <br /> <br />Minutes of February 7, 2005 Meeting <br /> Accepted as presented. <br /> <br />Treasurer’s Report <br /> None was available from the Council or from the Town. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Library Gift <br /> Alan Adolph has not reported further progress on the Library Gift. <br /> <br />th <br />Report of 25 Anniversary at the State House <br /> Marion Kilson and Barbara Ciampa represented the Lexington Council for <br />th <br /> the Arts at the 25 Anniversary Celebration. Marion commented that it <br /> useful for lobbying legislators for $5 million increase in MCC appropriation <br /> and for networking with other LCC members. Arlington had prepared a <br /> sheet demonstrating the programming implications of recent budget cuts. <br /> Among the useful suggestions: request grantees to write to Legislators about <br />significance of their awards for them and for community. Marion’s letter <br />about the Anniversary celebration appeared in the Minuteman under Joan’s <br />signature. <br /> <br />Bios for New Members <br />Barbara Ciampa has submitted her bio for Selectmen; Ella Bayliss will send <br />hers to Joan Reddy. <br /> <br />Fundraising Mailing <br /> Assembler is prepared to send out materials. <br /> We must use Town printer, Wales Copy Center, for printing new stationery. <br /> Next Steps: <br /> Joan Reddy will consolidate mailing lists for Assembler. <br /> Mailing should go out c. April 18 <br /> <br />List of Lexington Art Organizations <br /> Molly Ferrante is working on project. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Treasurer’s Resignation <br /> <br />
