<br />Lexington Council for the Arts (LCA) <br /> Minutes for Meeting October 6, 2008 <br />Room 111, Town Office Building <br /> <br /> <br />Present: Barbara Ciampa, Co-Chair; Louise Cady-Fernandes; Janet Post, Secretary; Jan Goplerud; <br />Zoe Perry Wood, Co Chair; Jonathan Cue; <br /> <br />Absent: Sirarpi Heghinian Walzser; George Burnell; Mary Trometer,Treasurer; Bill Janowitz; <br />Jackie Hawkinson; <br /> <br />Call to Order <br /> Barbara Ciampa Wood called the meeting to order at 7:08PM <br /> <br />Secretary's Report <br /> The minutes for the September ‘08 meeting were accepted. <br /> <br />Treasurer's Report <br /> <br /> The treasurer’s report is postponed as Mary Trometer is absent tonight. <br /> <br /> <br />Grant Business: <br /> <br />Janet reviewed the two grant requests that have come in some far. <br /> <br /> <br />New Business: <br /> <br />th <br />??Review of the LCC gathering at National Heritage Museum on Oct. 4. <br />th <br />??Anita Walker’s invitation to MCC grantees in the metro west region on Oct. 16 at the <br />Wildflower Society. <br />??In January/February 2008 Jan will review grant application guidelines from other LCCs so <br />that we can vote on what how we want to proceed with our own. <br />??Janet is going to form a grant review committee to review requests this year. <br />??Next month’s meeting will be in the Ellen Stone room in Carey Hall-first door <br />to the left on the first floor (our regular room is need for voting logistics). <br />??Myron has resigned because of medical reasons. We are seeking a new member for our <br />council to replace him. <br />??Town artwork update. Discussion about having an art auction/fundraiser at some point <br />in the future. <br />??The mural at the library, that we are giving funds towards, is still up in the air while an <br />artist is found to do it. <br />??Zoe proposed having a LCA banner made for our events that she found on the MCC <br />website. <br /> <br /> <br />Business for Next Meeting <br /> <br />??Form a subcommittee for grant reviews. <br />??Town artwork fundraiser. <br />??Zoe will report on banner <br />??Discuss new committee member. <br /> <br />
