<br />Sidewalk Committee Meeting <br />Monday December 3, 2007 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Attended: Chair Jerry VanHook, Sue Ellen Briggs, Jeanne Krieger, Francine Stieglitz, <br />Lucy Fletcher-Jones, Richard Canale, Meg Lotz, John Davies, Olga Guttag <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting Schedule for 2008: <br />Selectman’s Meeting room at 11AM on the following first Monday of the month. <br />January 7, 2008 <br />February 4, 2008 <br />March 3, 2008 <br />April 7, 2008 <br />May 5, 2008 <br />June 2, 2008 <br />July 7, 2008 <br />August 4, 2008 <br />September 8, 2008 <br />October 6, 2008 <br />November 3, 2008 <br />December 1, 2008 <br /> <br />Marianne’s spreadsheet of Center Improvements is coming via email to all committee <br />members. <br /> <br />Jerry’s letter to the Traffic Safety Advisory Committee should also be transmitted by <br />email to all members. <br /> <br />Olga motioned for approval of the November Sidewalk Committee Meeting Minutes. <br />This was unanimously approved. <br /> <br />Francine has gotten emails about sidewalks since Jerry’s letter to the Minuteman. Four <br />letters concerning Hill St. Francine is asking Wayne where Hill St. is on the priority list <br />for sidewalks. Richard suggested stripping on the side to make the road look narrow and <br />slow down cars. The question was asked: Why doesn’t the town like speed bumps? The <br />answer was perceived maintenance issues, trouble with drainage and plowing. <br />Olga suggested an insert for the tax bill. Francine and Olga will work on this. <br /> <br />Olga is still working with Fiske Commons on access to Fiske school. Also Olga met with <br />Fiske’s Vice Principal and PTA to design a new pick up traffic pattern. They need to <br />consult the police before it is put into practice. <br /> <br />Meg reported that Hastings is still waiting for No Parking signs on Roosevelt St. <br /> <br /> <br />
