<br />Sidewalk Sub-committee <br />Minutes of Meeting <br />Monday, January 9, 2005 <br /> <br />Present: Lisa Baci, Marianne Lazarus, Francine Stieglitz, Wayne Brooks, Jeanne Krieger <br /> <br />Next Meeting: Monday January 23, noon, Selectmen’s Conference Room <br /> <br />Discussion concerned developing a ‘plan’ for Walking in Lexington predicated on <br />Marianne’s brain dump and Lisa’s suggestions. <br /> <br />General outline of plan <br /> Current state – Jeanne will provide outline prior to next meeting <br /> Gaps in current state (what needs changing) <br /> Physical plan deficiencies –Where can one not walk safely and enjoyable <br /> Gaps in rules, regulations and standards <br /> Gaps in practices <br /> Recommended fixes <br /> <br /> <br />The purpose of the plan is not to fix everything, but to describe the series of programs <br />that ultimately will make walking in Lexington accessible and desirable to more <br />residents. <br /> <br />We will identify at the next meeting what we need to include in the gap section so that we <br />can ask for help from the greater committee in researching best practices. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
