<br /> <br /> <br />Lexington Board of Health Meeting, November 14, 2007 <br /> <br />Town Office Building, Room G-15 <br />1625 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA 02420 <br /> <br />Attendees: Wendy Heiger-Bernays, Chair; Judith Feldman; Sharon MacKenzie; <br />Deborah Thompson; Burt Perlmutter <br /> <br />Health Department Attendees: Kathy Fox, Ann Belliveau <br /> <br />Heiger-Bernays called the meeting to order at 7:20 p.m. <br /> <br />The Board asked Fox if she had received a drinking water well permit application for 25 <br />Marrett St. <br />Fox informed the Board that the only thing she has received is a recent septic pumping <br />record for this location. Because there are no plans on file for the septic system, the <br />Board asked Fox to visit the site and determine if a new well has been installed on the <br />property without a permit. Fox will also request a septic plan from the owner of the <br />property in order to review the setbacks. <br /> <br />The Board reviewed the minutes of October 10, 2007. MacKenzie motioned to accept <br />with corrections. Perlmutter seconded. All approved. <br /> <br />The Board requested Rebecca Williams to get information out regarding MRSA. The <br />Board suggested Rebecca work with Jill Gasparini to the information to the Schools. <br />An article about MRSA should also be sent to The Lexington Minuteman. <br /> <br />MacKenzie motioned to accept the appointment of Fire Chief William Middlemess to the <br />Biosafety Committee. Perlmutter seconded. All approved. The Board requested a five <br />member Biosafety Committee. <br /> <br />Shire HGT – 300 Patriot Way – Request for a variance – Barry Cohen of Shire HGT will <br />be requesting a variance to manufacture cell culture volumes in excess of 5,000 liters at <br />300 Patriot Way. The Board requested that Shire apply for a permit for this facility along <br />with the request for variance. <br /> <br />Variance request for Minuteman Regional High School Pool – Minuteman Regional High <br />School requested a variance for the facility pool in order for staff members to swim early <br />in the morning before classes without a lifeguard on duty. Perlmutter moved to grant the <br />variance for staff members with the proper signage that swimming at your own risk when <br />life guard is not on duty. <br /> <br />MacKenzie motioned to adjourn.
