Glen St. side has unusual dormer w/ <br /> chimney & small flanking windows . 6/1 double-hung sash with large lights. <br /> Full-width front porch. 5-panel door in small bay, leaded glass windows <br /> to each side. <br /> HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE (explain the role owners played in local or state history <br /> and how the building relates to the development of the community) <br /> This was one of the houses on Upland Road built speculatively by Abram C. <br /> Washburn, Lexington's most prolific local builder (see 4 Glen Road for <br /> more information about Washburn) . It was bought by the Misses Stratton, <br /> two sisters of the wife of Dr. Tilton, prominent local physician.
