ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE (Describe important architectural features and <br /> evaluate in terms of other buildings within the community.) <br /> Part of a community of contemporary houses designed and developed by an <br /> architectural firm, this house is individually designed but, like its neighbors, is <br /> an example of the International Style, has similar exterior finishes, and a plan <br /> adapted to the site (see Moon Hill area form) . In this case, the house is oriented <br /> to take maximum advantage of the sun and view from one of the highest lots in Moon <br /> Hill. Like the house at 34 Moon Hill Road, this house had children's bedrooms <br /> separated by sliding plywood that could be opened to convert them into a single <br /> playroom. Unlike most other houses in Moon Hill, however, the kitchen in this <br /> house could be completely closed off from the dining room. <br /> HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE (Explain the role owners played in local or state <br /> history and how the building relates to the development of the community.) <br /> Built in 1947, this house was the first one erected in the Moon Hill <br /> development (see Moon Hill area form) .
