The main entrance is
located in the gable extension to the north of the gablefront block(this section may be an addition). A single-story addition
projects from the south side and there is a deck to the rear. Windows contain 6/1 sash, some of which appear to be replacements.
To the north of the house is a single car garage.
HISTORICAL NARRATIVE
Discuss the history of the building. Explain its associations with local(or state)history. Include uses of the building, and the role(s)the
owners/occupants played within the community.
It appears that this house was constructed between 1906 and 1910 as a rental property. There is no house on the site at the time
of the 1906 map. The 1910 Census indicates that the house was then occupied by Frank Nelson, a Swedish-born shoemaker.
Nelson lived here only briefly. Thomas and Katherine Buckley were living here in 1922. He was a policeman. Mrs. Minnie
Cole occupied the house in 1932 and was still here in 1942. The property had been purchased by the Savage family by 1963 and
is still owned by them today.
BIBLIOGRAPHY and/or REFERENCES
Hudson, Charles. History of the Town of Lexington.
