(Warrant for Special Election - See Warrant Book) 209 Iw► <br /> SPECIAL REFERENDUM <br /> THE REMODELING OF AND ADDITIONS T0, THE TOWN OFFICE BUILDING <br /> AND THE POLICE BUILDING <br /> HELD APRIL 27, 1970 <br /> In pursuance of the foregoing warrant, the legal voters of the <br /> Town of Lexington met in their respective voting places in said Town of <br /> Lexington Monday, April the twenty-seventh in the year of our Lord <br /> nineteen hundred and seventy at seven o' clock in the forenoon. <br /> The following places were designated as the voting places for <br /> the various precincts: Precinct One, Harrington School; Precinct <br /> Two, Adams School; Precinct Three, Cary Memorial Hall; Precinct Four, <br /> Senior High School; Precinct Five, Central Fire Station; Precinct <br /> Six, Maria Hastings School. <br /> The following election officers having been duly appointed by <br /> the Selectmen, and Wardens of the various precincts were assigned <br /> for duty as follows: <br /> Precinct One Precinct Two <br /> Mary E. Downe <br /> The polls were declared open in each precinct at seven o' clock a.m. <br /> and remained open until eight o' clock P. M., at which time, after <br /> due notice, they were closed. <br /> The election officers were sworn to the faithful performance <br /> of their duties. <br /> The total number of registered voters in each precinct as <br /> follows: <br /> Precinct One 2,777 (Twenty-seven hundred seventy-seven) <br /> Precinct Two 2,484 (Twenty-four hundred eighty-four) <br /> Precinct Three 2,327 (Twenty-three hundred twenty-seven) <br /> Precinct Four 2,290 (Twenty-two hundred ninety) <br /> Precinct Five 2,603 (Twenty-six hundred three ) <br /> Precinct Six 2 1 (Twenty-four hundred thirty-one) <br /> Total 14,912 (Fourteen thousand nine hundred twelve) <br /> The Registrars of Voters and the Town Clerk canvassed the <br /> result as follows: <br /> Precinct One 600 (Six Hundred ) <br /> Precinct Two 513 (Five hundred thirteen) <br /> Precinct Three 604 (Six hundred four) <br /> Precinct Four 689 (Six hundred eighty-nine) <br /> Precinct Five 709 (Seven hundred nine) <br /> Precinct Six 568 (Five hundred sixty-eight) <br /> Total 3,683 (Thirty six hundred eighty three) <br />
