BOA Meeting April 26, 2012 3 <br /> <br />Minutes of the Lexington Zoning Board of Appeals <br />Selectmen’s Meeting Room, Lexington Town Hall <br />April 26, 2012 <br /> <br /> <br />Board Members Present: Chairman – Carolyn C. Wilson, John J. McWeeney, Leo P. <br />McSweeney, David G. Williams and Martha C. Wood <br /> <br />Staff Present: Dianne Cornaro, Administrative Clerk and Garry Rhodes, Building <br />Commissioner. <br /> <br />Petition Address: 1 Oakland Street, Map 48, Lot 94 <br /> <br />Petitioner submitted the following information with the application: nature and <br />justification of request, plot plan, elevations, fence plans and photographs. <br /> <br />Prior to the hearing, the petition and supporting data were reviewed by the Building <br />Commissioner, Conservation Administrator, Town Engineer, Health Director, Board of <br />Selectmen, the Zoning Administrator, the Planning Director and the Historic Districts <br />Commission Clerk. Comments were received from the HDC Clerk and the Zoning <br />Administrator. <br /> <br />The Chairman opened the hearings at 8:04 pm by reading the legal notice and <br />described information received from the petitioner. <br /> <br /> <br />The applicant is requesting <br />a SPECIAL PERMIT from section 135-32C to allow an 8 ft <br />fence instead of the maximum 6 ft. fence allowed. <br /> <br />, owner of the property, presented the petition. <br />Janet Tiampo <br /> <br />At the hearing the petitioner submitted a letter in support from Joe and Claudia Quigley <br />of 3 Oakland Street and elevations for the fence. <br /> <br />Board members confirmed that the fence would be the same height as it now is and <br />that it was only the rear section that was being replaced. <br /> <br />There were no audience questions. <br /> <br />Bob Sacco of 15 Meriam Street spoke in favor of the petition. <br /> <br />No one spoke in opposition to the petition. <br /> <br />The hearing was closed at 8:10 pm. <br /> <br />On a motion by John J. McWeeney and seconded by Martha C. Wood, the Board <br />voted 5-0 to grant the <br />SPECIAL PERMIT from section 135-32C to allow an 8 ft fence <br />instead of the maximum 6 ft. fence allowed with the condition that they receive approval <br />by the Historic District Commission. <br /> <br />Submitted by: Dianne Cornaro, Administrative Clerk <br /> <br />
