MINUTES <br />FUND FOR LEXINGTON BOARD <br />June 12, 2007 <br />4:30 p.m., Selectmen's Office, Town Office Building <br />PRESENT: Norman Cohen, Dan Lucas, Reverend Colletti, Alan Fields; and Becky Kosterman, <br />Social Services Department <br />1. Approximate amount of money available as of 4/30/07: Income: $12,561.98 <br />Principal: $12,405.44 <br />(An additional $2,125 will be deposited into income soon.) <br />Norman Cohen mentioned that LexHAB obtained the approval of the Board of Selectmen <br />to establish the Marshall Derby Emergency Housing Fund in the amount of $10,000. <br />Becky Kosterman will call Joan Wall to get details. <br />2. Human Services Report: <br />a. Becky Kosterman reviewed expenses of Human Services Fund from January 1, 2007 <br />through June 12, 2007. <br />b. Ratify Poll Vote Request: $759.58 for two months Cobra for DM. APPROVED 4 -0 <br />c. Becky Kosterman reported that with the $2,000 from the Fund for Lexington paid on <br />May 21, 2007, the Human Services Fund should have sufficient funds until the end of <br />July when the Trustees of Public Trusts will disburse an additional amount. Becky <br />Kosterman brought to the attention of the Board that all units of the Avalon Bay <br />projects in Lexington are now being metered separately for water and sewer use. As <br />a result, the Fund could be called upon to help low income residents with this <br />expense. Norman Cohen will look into this matter. <br />3. Dan Lucas mentioned that the Lexington Food Pantry was reportedly running very low <br />on funds. Norman Cohen reported that he had called them in the past and was told they <br />would call if they needed money from the Fund. <br />4. The minutes of March 27, 2007 approved 4 -0. <br />5. The next meeting will be September 25, 2007 at 4:30 p.m. <br />
