BOA Meeting, December 9, 2010 <br /> <br />Minutes of the Lexington Zoning Board of Appeals <br />Selectmen’s Meeting Room, Lexington Town Hall <br />December 9, 2010 <br /> <br />Board Members Present: Chairman - Nyles N. Barnert, John J. McWeeney, David G. Williams <br />Carolyn C. Wilson and Martha C. Wood <br /> <br />Staff Present: Dianne Cornaro, Administrative Clerk and David L. George, Zoning <br />Administrator <br /> <br />Petition Address: 11 Garfield Street, Map 72, Lot 3 <br /> <br />Petitioner submitted the following with the application for hearing: nature and justification of <br />request; topographic plan; plot plan; elevations and floor plans. <br /> <br />Prior to the hearing, the petition and supporting data were reviewed by the Building <br />Commissioner, Conservation Administrator, Town Engineer, Health Director, Board of <br />Selectmen, the Zoning Administrator, the Planning Administrator and the Historic Districts <br />Commission Clerk. Comments were received from the Planning Director and the Zoning <br />Administrator. <br /> <br />The Chairman opened the hearing at 8:00 pm by reading the legal notice and described <br />information received from the petitioner relative to the petition. <br /> <br />Judith Ligor, owner of the property, presented the position. <br /> <br />The applicant is requesting the following relief: 1) VARIANCE in accordance with the <br />Zoning By-Law (Chapter 135 of the Code of Lexington) section 135-19E (1) to allow lot area <br />of 10,406 sq ft instead of the required 18,000 sq ft 2) SPECIAL PERMIT from section 135- <br />19E to allow an accessory apartment in an accessory structure and 3) VARIANCE from section <br />135-35 a, Table 2, Schedule of Dimensional Controls to allow site coverage of 29.9% instead <br />of the required 15%. <br /> <br />A Board member asked who was living in the 2 houses presently. <br /> <br />Another Board member asked about moving the non-conforming shed within the setback. <br /> <br />There were no questions from the audience. <br /> <br />Wendy Reasenberg of 16 Garfield Street spoke in favor of the petition. <br /> <br />No one spoke in opposition. <br /> <br />The Chairman closed the hearing at 8:15 pm. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
