ARTICLE 8 (f) <br />Project: Battle Green Area Master Plan Implementation, Phase 2 <br />CPA Category: Historic Resources <br />Amount Requested: $143,845 <br />Amount Recommended: $143,845 <br />CPC Vote: (8-1) <br />Project Description: <br />This is Phase 2 of a three-year project to address the area around the Battle Green. This phase <br />will focus on the repair of the paths around the Battle Green and Belfry Hill, granite work at <br />the Obelisk, and fence work at Ye Olde Burying Ground. Details of future phases are under <br />review by the Selectmen. <br />Project Goals and Objectives: <br />The goal of this project is to repair, update and restore key elements on and around the Battle <br />Green in order to make them accessible, safe, aesthetically pleasing and viable for current <br />and future generations. <br />Project Benefit: <br />This project will enhance the Battle Green area by restoring and preserving the various <br />historic aspects of the area. It will also help to improve access and safety when visiting the <br />area. <br />Funding Request: <br />The funding request of $143,845 is based on the scope of work developed in the Battle Green <br />Area Master Plan. <br />1 1 <br /> <br />
