 Program of the day is ready for printing and distribution around town. Dick Crogan will distribute the publicity for Dave Taylor. (Dave has a work conflict and will not be here for Patriots’ Day.) Events are already posted on the town website and LexPatch.  Invitation letters have been sent to the Bruins.  Dick acquired a convertible to transport Dan Fenn. Additional cars are available, if needed.  Air Force Band of Liberty will disband in 2013; however, they will march with us this Patriots’ Day and perform in Lexington during this year’s July th 4 holiday. How to acknowledge and thank them during this year’s parade for past and present participation is being considered.  It’s almost certain that the LL Bean Boot Mobile will be riding in the parade. (Factoid: Lexington residents spend more dollars at LL Bean than any other community in the country.)  Votes were taken on the following motions –  to accept the most recent applications (plus floats) at no fee. This motion also included the acceptance of a vehicle that asked for compensation but will be told that they can ride but not paid.  to accept the applications of two groups and military tank and car whose asking price is a little higher this year.  to accept the applications of those groups and multiple military vehicles whose asking price is the same as last year.  to accept the application of a group at last year’s but not this year’s asking price. All motions passed unanimously and were accepted, with the exception of one nay vote for the multiple military vehicles.  Suzie will call a pipes and drums group to negotiate a lower fee.  Fourth Regiment of Foot will not march this year.  Paul Jenkins will call the Fifth Regiment of Foot to ask for more information about their proposed entry.  The Living History application will be considered next year. Memorial Day 2012  Chief Marshal – Julie Miller’s original choice for CM is not available; she has another person to invite. Suzie would like also to include the town’s new Veterans’ Services representative in this ceremony.  Speaker – Alma Hart of Bedford, MA. Memorial Day 2013 and Lexington 300 th The new clock at the depot will house the time capsule. Discussion is planned th with the 300 on how to organize the contents.
