rt%"� � <br />TOWN OF LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS <br />PERMANENT BUILDING COMMITTEE <br />Minutes of Tuesday June 10 2003 meeting at the Lexington High School Trailer as approved <br />August 12, 2003. <br />Permanent Building Committee member Jonathan Himmel called the meeting to order at 7:08 <br />p.m. with other PBC members, Mary Lou Touart, Bruce Creager, Peter Johnson and Dick Perry <br />present. Also in attendance were the Owner's Representatives, Bill Kealy, Project Manager, Carl <br />Oldenburg, Project Coordinator and Gary Kaczmarek, Clerk of Works. From HMFH Architect, <br />Gabe Petino and from SHAA Architect, Terrence Sturm. Representing the Harrington School, <br />Judith Crocker. <br />T. Sturm brought Alexandra's Payment Requisition No 23 in the amount of $684,245. 10 to the <br />table J. Himmel made the motion to approve payment as recommended by the Architect. The <br />motion was seconded by B. Creager and all were in favor to pay the Requisition in the amount of <br />$684,245.10. <br />Eastern's Change Order No. 32 for $54,953.00 was introduced by G Petino He explained that <br />$19,000.00 of the total amount is for devices and 12 additional fire devices required by the Fire <br />Department. J. Himmel made the motion to approve payment of Change Order No. 32 and R. <br />Sperandio seconded it. All were in favor to pay the Change Order in the amount of $54,953. <br />Next, G. Petino discussed Eastern's Payment Requisition No 33 for $257,790.00 A motion was <br />made by J. Himmel to pay the Requisition and seconded by M. Touart. All were in favor to pay <br />the Requisition in the amount of $257,790.00. <br />Lastly, G. Petino presented Peabody 's Payment Requisition No 39 for the sum of $157,972.00 <br />M. Touart made the motion to approve payment of the Requisition and B. Creager seconded it. <br />All were in favor to pay the Requisition totaling $157,972.00. <br />B. Kealy gave his report on the current projects At the High School, the Acoustical Contract <br />General Contractor, Northeast Interiors has begun measuring, ordering equipment and sending <br />submittals even though work cannot begin until after June 23. $300,000 has been completed <br />from the remaining $900,000 Middle Schools punch list. Two attorneys from Palmer & Dodge <br />are looking into the best legal course to solve problems with the Library General Contractor, <br />Alexandra. Brush is being cut down and a gravel roadway is being put in place at the Harrington <br />School. <br />A general discussion relating to issues at the Cary Memorial Library ensued. <br />A motion was made by P. Johnson to accept minutes for May 6 2003 and May 27 2003 with <br />minor corrections and the minutes for May 20 2003 as submitted M. Touart seconded and all <br />were in favor to accept the minutes as stated above. <br />J. Himmel moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:48 p.m. P.
