Article 33, VOMD: That the Selectmen be authorized to purchase 1 3 7 <br /> a new cruising car for the Police Department and for <br /> that purpose the sum of ' 200.00 is appropriated, to <br /> be provided by a transfer from the Excess and De- <br /> ficiency Account. <br /> Carried Unanimously 10 :26 P. M. <br /> Article 34. VOTED: That the Town amend the General By-laws by <br /> adding to Article XXVI the following: <br /> Section 2. No person, except an officer of the law in <br /> the performance of his duties , shall enter upon the <br /> premises of another with the intention of peeping into <br /> the windows of a house or spying upon in any manner <br /> any person or persons therein. <br /> Carried Unanimously 10: 26 P. M. <br /> Article 35 . VOTED: That the Town amend the Plumbing By-law by <br /> changing the figure "20" in the last paragraph thereof <br /> to "XXI" so that the same shall read as follows : <br /> The provisions of Article XXI of the Building By-law <br /> so far as applicable and especially when required <br /> appliances or fittings are not on the market shall be <br /> considered a part of this By-law. <br /> Carried Unanimously - 10:28 P. Ferguson. <br /> Article 36, VOTED: Under Chapter 41, Sections 1 and 2 of the <br /> General Laws , to increase the membership of the School <br /> Committee of the Town of Lexington from three to five <br /> members , two to be elected in 1946 , two to be elected <br /> in 1947, and one to be elected in 1948, for the terms <br /> of three years , <br /> Sydney R. Wrightington, Town Counsel, suggests that the <br /> changes should be made in the motion concerning the terms of <br /> office. Whereby William W. Ferguson holds motion until certain <br /> changes to be made. 10 :32 P. M. <br /> Article 2 presented by Tracy W. Ames , Chairman, School Committee . <br /> Article 2. rVOTED: 'That a committee of 5 be appointed by the Mod- <br /> erator to consider the adviseability of kindergartens <br /> for the Town of Lexington and make recommendations at <br /> the next town meeting. <br /> Carried Unanimously 10:32 P. Y. <br /> Article 39 presented by Eugene T. Buckley. <br /> Article 39 , VOTED: That the Town authorize the selectmen to <br /> cancel the agreements dated January. 27, 1937 and recorded <br /> with Middlesex South District Registry of Deeds, Book <br /> 6106 page 175, and December 31, 1937 and recorded with <br /> Middlesex South District Registry of Deeds, Book 6179 <br /> page 9, which agreements impose voluntary restrictions <br /> on the use by Daniel J. O 'Connell and his successors in <br /> title of land at the junction of Woburn Street , Fletcher <br /> Avenue and the Boston and Maine Railroad, Lexington, <br /> Middlesex County, now zoned as a C-1 District, and to <br /> execute and deliver to the said Daniel J. O'Connell a <br /> release of all rights acquired by the Town by said <br /> agreements . <br /> Permission granted Daniel J. O 'Connell to speak from the floor. <br /> Carried by voice vote 10:40 P.
