Article 20. VOTED: That the following sum be appropriated and <br /> 105 <br /> assessed for pensions for retired members of the <br /> Police Department, under Chapter 32 of the General <br /> Laws as amended: <br /> Police Pensions 61500.00 <br /> Carried Unanimously 10:08 P. M. <br /> Article 21. VOTED: That the Town enlarge the scope of the Road <br /> Machinery Fund by crediting to said fund an amount <br /> - based on hourly rental for the use of motorized <br /> equipment of the Public Works Department when used on <br /> various projects carried on under the direction of said <br /> Department, or other Departments of the Town, the amount <br /> of said charge not to exceed the amount allowed by the <br /> State for the use of similar equipment. <br /> Carried Unanimously 10 :09 P. M. <br /> Article 22. VO-TED: That the sum of $400 .00 be appropriated for the <br /> purpose of erecting a backstop at the Center Playground; <br /> this money to be transferred from the Excess and De- <br /> ficiency Account. <br /> Carried Unanimously 10:09 P. VOTED: That the sum of 65,000.00 be appropriated for <br /> the purpose of grading the enclosed field at the Center <br /> Playground; this money to be transferred from the Excess <br /> and Deficiency Account, <br /> Carried UnanimoUsly 10:10 P. M. <br /> Article 24. VOTED: That the Selectmen be authorized to purchase <br /> two new power lawn mowers for the Park Department, and <br /> for that purpose the sum of 41,000.00 be appropriated <br /> and assessed. <br /> Carried Unanimously 10: 10 P. M. <br /> Article 25, VOTED: That the Selectmen be authorized to appoint <br /> one of their members to the Board of Appeals, in <br /> accordance with G. L. Chapter 41, Sec . 4A. <br /> Carried Unanimously 10 :10 P. M, <br /> Article 25 , VOTED: That it is the sense of the meeting that no <br /> further payments should be made for premiums on <br /> policies of insurance against loss or damage to Town <br /> property which may result from enemy attack, including <br /> any action taken by the Military, Naval or Air Force of <br /> the United States in resisting enemy attack. <br /> Carried Unanimously 10: 10 P. M. <br /> Article 27 , VOTED: That the Town accept a Fift in the amount of <br /> $500.00, under the will of Franklin F. Raymond, to be <br /> known as "The Sarah E. Raymond Library Fune4, the in- <br /> come to be used for the purchase of books for the Cary <br /> Memorial Library. <br /> Carried Unanimously 10: 12 P. M. <br /> Article 28. VOTED: That the Town accept Chapter 11 of the Acts of <br /> 1945 authorizing the Selectmen to appoint a Board of <br /> Health and transferring to that Board the duties as a <br /> Board of Health now performed by the Selectmen. <br /> Carred Unanimously 10 :12 P. M. <br /> Article 29 , VOTED: That the Town accept the relocation as a town <br /> way of Blossom Street from Concord Avenue to the <br /> Cambridge-Concord Highway, as laid out by the Selectmen, <br /> and as shown on plan on file in the Town Clerkls office . <br /> Carried Unanimously 10:12 P.
