(Warrant for Special Election - See Warrant Book) <br /> SPECIAL ELECTI©I`T - REFERENDUM - DOG LEASH LAW <br /> ILD �uLv 1� 1968 <br /> In pursuance of the foregoing warrant, the legal voters of the <br /> Town of Lexington met in their respective voting places in said Town <br /> of Lexington Monday, July the first in the year of our Lord nineteen <br /> hundred and sixty-eight at seven-thirty o'clock in the forenoon. <br /> The following places were designated as the voting places for the <br /> various precincts: Precinct One, Harrington School; Precinct Two, <br /> Adams School; Precinct Three, Cary Memorial Hall; Precinct Four, <br /> Senior High School; Precinct Five, Central Fire Station; Precinct <br /> Six, Maria Hastings School, <br /> The following election officers having been duly appointed by <br /> the Selectmen, and Wardens of the various precincts were assigned <br /> for duty as follows: <br /> Precinct One Precinct Two <br /> Mary E. M. and remained open until eight o'clock P. M., at which <br /> time, after due notice, they were closed. <br /> The election officers were sworn to the faithful performance of <br /> their duties. <br /> The total number of registered voters in each precinct as follows : <br /> Precinct One 2,890 (Twenty-eight hundred ninety) <br /> Precinct Two 2,419 (Twenty-four hundred nineteen) <br /> Precinct Three 2,309 (Twenty-three hundred nine ) - <br /> Precinct Four 2,287 (Two thousand two hundred eighty-seven) <br /> Precinct Five 2,683 (Twenty-six hundred eighty-three) <br /> Precinct Six 2 7O (Twenty-four hundred seventy) <br /> Total 15,058 (Fifteen thousand fifty-eight) <br /> The Registrars of Voters and the Town Clerk canvassed the <br /> result as follows : <br /> Precinct One 737 (Seven hundred thirty-seven) <br /> Precinct Two 592 (Five hundred ninety-two) <br /> Precinct Three 677 (Six hundred seventy-seven) <br /> Precinct Four 653 (Six hundred fifty-three) <br /> Precinct Five 809 (Eight hundred nine) <br /> Precinct Six 712 (Seven hundred twelve) <br /> Total 4,180 (Forty-one hundred eighty) <br />
