Presented by Robert Cataldo. <br /> MOTION: That the Selectmen be and they hereby are <br /> authorized to petition the General Court, separately or <br /> jointly with the Town of Bedford, for the enactment of <br /> a law authorizing the Town of Bedford to construct a <br /> sewer in the Town of Lexington and also authorizing the <br /> construction and financing of sewers in the Town of <br /> Lexington to be used jointly by the Towns of Lexington <br /> and Bedford. <br /> Carried Unanimously 9:27 P. M. <br /> Article 74, Presented by Robert Cataldo. <br /> MOTION: That the Selectmen be and they hereby are <br /> authorized to- install a sewer main or mains in such <br /> locations as the Selectmen may determine from the <br /> vicinity of Hamilton Road to the Metropolitan District <br /> Commission sewer line in Lexington, and to enlarge, <br /> alter, replace or reconstruct the North Lexington <br /> Pumping Station and the equipment therein, subject to- <br /> the assessment of betterments or otherwise,' in accord- <br /> ance with Chapter 504 of the Acts of 1897 and all acts— <br /> in amendment thereof and in addition thereto, or other..., <br /> wise, and to take by eminent domain, purchase or other- <br /> wise acquire- any fee, easement or other interest in <br /> land necessary therefor; that the Selectmen may contract <br /> for Federal and State aid-and for payments from the <br /> Town of Bedford and the United States Air Force with <br /> respect to the foregoing projects; that to finance the <br /> foregoing projects -the sum of $5750000,00 is hereby <br /> appropriated; that to meet -said appropriation the sum <br /> of $25,000.00 shall beincluded in the current tax levy <br /> and the Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen <br /> is authorized to borrow -$550,000.00 under General Laws, <br /> Chapter Section 7, Clause (1) , and to issue bonds <br /> or notes of the Town payable within three years from - <br /> their dates, provided that the total borrowing author- <br /> ized hereby shall be reduced by the amount of any <br /> Federal and State construction grants obtained for the <br /> purpose of carrying out the projects and by the amount <br /> of payments to the Town -by -the Town of Bedford and the <br /> United States Air Force, if any, representing their shares- <br />
