16 (WARRANT FOR ANNUAL TOWN MEETING - See Warrant Book) ANNUAL TOWN MEETING March 4, 1957 In pursuance of the foregoing warrant the legal voters of the Town of Lexington met in their respective voting places in said Town of Lexington on Monday, March the fourth in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and fifty-seven at seven-thirty otclock in the forenoon. The following places were designated as the voting places for the various precincts: Precinct One, Adams School; Precinct Two, East Lexington Fire Station; Precinct Three, Cary Memorial Hall; Precinct Four, High School Building; Precinct Five, Central Fire Station; Precinct Six, Maria Hastings School. The following election officers having been duly appointed by the Selectmen, and Wardens of the various precincts were assigned for duty as follows: Precinct One Precinct Two John J. Rudd Warden J. M. and remained open until eight o' clock P. M. , after which time, after due notice, they were closed. The election officers were sworn to the faithful performance of their duties. The ballots were counted by the election officers in each pre- cinct, the tally shetts and total vote sheets prepared by the Town Clerk being used. The total number of registered voters in each precinct as follows: Precinct One Males 914 Females 928 Totals 1,842 Precinct Two Males 951 Females 1,017 Totals 1,968 Precinct Three Males 822 Females 975 Totals 1,797 Precinct Four Males 848 Females 988 Totals 1,836 — Precinct Five Males 995 Females 943 Totals 1,938 Precinct Six Males 886 Females 966 Totals 1,852 Totals 5,416 5,817 11,233 The ballots cast were counted, enclosed in envelopes, sealed, signed by the election officers, together with the unused ballots, and delivered to the Town Clerk at his office.
