Gary <br /> and Richard D. Johnston. received 347 votes each, therefore creating <br /> a tie. A special election of town meeting members from Precinct ` <br /> Four only was held Monday, March 16, 1970 at 7:30 P. M. In Estabrook <br /> Hall to determine the winner of the three year term and the runner- <br /> up to fill the two year term. <br /> Eric B. Kula acted as Chairman of the meeting and Arthur T. <br /> Bernier acted as Clerk,. <br /> There were 24 Town. Meeting Members from Precinct Four <br /> present. <br /> The result of the paper ballot voting is as follows: <br /> Robert M. Gary 23 <br /> Richard D. Johnston 1 <br /> Total 24 <br /> Robert M. Gary was declared elected to the three yea' term <br /> ending in March 1973. <br /> Richard D.
