61-453 <br />Selectmen's Meeting Minutes <br />December 13, 1999 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on Monday, December 13, 1999 in the <br />Selectmen's Meeting Room, Town Office Building at 7:30 p.m. Chairman Enrich, Mrs. Eddison, <br />Mrs. Krieger, Mrs. Abbott, Mrs. McKenna; Mr. White, Town Manager; Mr. Cohen, Town <br />Counsel; and Ms. Pease, Assistant to the Executive Clerk were present. <br />Consent Agenda <br /> Accept Gift of Land <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to accept the gift by the owner of Lot 240, <br />Map 50, to the Conservation Commission. <br />Hearings <br /> Transfer of Common Victualler Liquor License – Lexington Restaurant Group, LLC <br />d/b/a Carolinas <br />Dale Broach, Manager of Carolinas, was at the meeting with his attorney. Stone Soup will close <br />the end of December and Mr. Broach plans to renovate and open mid-February. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the transfer of the liquor license <br />from Stone Soup to Lexington Restaurant Group, LLC d/b/a Carolinas. <br />Traffic Safety Advisory Committee – No Parking Clark and Forest Streets <br />Mr. Carbonneau discovered there were regulations implemented in 1981 with regard to parking <br />on Clarke and Forest Streets. Therefore, the Selectmen took no action. Mr. Carbonneau will <br />post and enforce the parking as enacted in 1981. He plans to send a letter to all abutters <br />explaining the 1981 regulations and notifying them that the signs will be installed soon. <br />Budget <br /> Process/Calendar <br />The School Committee requested the following three items be clarified: <br />1.briefing with School Committee to keep them up to date; <br />2.be prepared to add a third summit meeting, if necessary; and <br />3.not to commit to order of decision until briefing and input from School <br />Committee. <br /> <br />
