61-449 <br />Selectmen's Meeting - December 6, 1999 <br /> Bell Atlantic Grant of Location - Oakland Street <br />Board members requested that the petition of Bell Atlantic to provide service to a home at #16 <br />Oakland Street be postponed and that the public be notified of the hearing. <br />Resignations/Appointments/Reappointments <br /> Council for the Arts <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to accept with regret the resignation of <br />Barbara Williams from the Council for the Arts. <br /> Transportation Advisory Committee <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to appoint Elaine Dratch a member of the <br />Transportation Advisory Committee. <br /> Historic Districts Commission <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the nomination from the <br />Lexington Arts and Crafts Society and reappoint Eleanor MacQueen an associate member of the <br />Historic Districts Commission for a term to expire December 31, 2004. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the nomination from the Library <br />Trustees and appoint Jeffrey Denzak an associate member of the Historic Districts Commission <br />for a term to expire December 31, 2003. <br />Selectmen's Gift Account <br />Mr. White requested that the Selectmen accept a gift from the Landsman Charitable Trust in the <br />amount of $2000 has been donated to assist in the installation of the new police booth in the <br />center. The money will allow the Town to do some work on getting the utility box inside the <br />booth as well. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to establish a Selectmen's Gift Account for <br />the installation of the new police booth in the Center. <br />Tax Title Lot Sale <br />Mr. White reviewed a request from Laura and Daniel Taylor to purchase lot 117 on Assessors <br />Map 54. The Town obtained an appraisal on the parcel that valued the parcel at $2,000. Mrs. <br />McKenna felt the value of the parcel should be much higher. Mrs. Eddison suggested that the <br />Town get another appraisal and Mrs. Krieger concurred. <br />It was agreed that Mrs. McKenna and Mr. White will talk to the prospective buyers and to hold <br />up on the sale at this time. <br /> <br />
