61-328 <br />Selectmen's Meeting Minutes <br />March 8, 1999 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on Monday, March 8, 1999 in the <br />Selectmen's Meeting Room, Town Office Building at 7:30 p.m. Chairman Enrich, Mrs. Eddison, <br />Mrs. Krieger, Mrs. Abbott, Mrs. McKenna, Mr. Cohen, Town Counsel, Mr.White, Town <br />Manager and Ms. Smith, Executive Clerk were present. <br />Chairman Enrich called the meeting to order and welcomed newly elected Board members Cathy <br />Abbott and Dawn McKenna. <br />Mr. Enrich explained that the Board operates under rules of procedure. The reorganization of the <br />Board under ordinary circumstances takes place after the conclusion of Town Meeting. <br />Therefore the election of Chairman will take place the first meeting after Town meeting closes. <br />Citizen Comments <br />Norma Floyd objected to the Board's not opposing the issuance of a Keno License to the Food <br />Store by the Massachusetts Lottery Commission. Mr. Enrich explained that the new prospective <br />owner came to the Selectmen's Meeting two weeks ago at which time the Board had an extensive <br />discussion about the Board's concerns regarding many issues about the operation of the food <br />store. After receiving positive reassurances from the new owner's attorney, the Board decided at <br />that time not to proceed for a hearing before the State Lottery Commission. <br />Consent Agenda <br />Conservation Restriction - 55 Hayden Avenue <br />Mrs. McKenna inquired as to whether there was provision for parking. The easement is for foot <br />traffic only. There are parking spaces available but no parking will be allowed on the easement. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve a conservation restriction at 55 <br />Hayden Avenue. <br />Easement - Town of Lexington/Levy - Grassland Street <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to sign an easement concerning the Levy <br />property on Grassland Street that was approved under Article 59 at the 1998 Annual <br />Town Meeting. <br /> <br />
