Lexington Housing Partnership At this point the Lexington Housing Partnership meeting was temporarily adjourned so that a meeting of the Lexington Housing Foundation could be convened. After the Foundation meeting was completed the Partnership meeting was reconvened. Busa Farm status – Mr. Bicknell The Partnership reviewed the charge and agreed to support the Charge as written. Mr.  Bicknell will write a letter to the Board of Selectmen in support of the Charge. 40B Legislation – Mary Haskell Ms. Haskell reported that a petition is being circulated that would put repeal of Chapter  40B on the ballot in November. The Citizens Housing and Planning Association (CHAPA) has a committee that is raising funds in anticipation of the need to advocate for Chapter 40B in the likely event that it is on the ballot in November. Affordable Homebuyer Assistance Program – Mr. Bicknell The Lexington Place affordable housing charter was written such that the owners of the  affordable units are not eligible for federal housing down payment assistance. This is because the deed rider is a state deed rider that is not acceptable to (HUD) Housing and Urban Development. Multi-town Community Housing Administrator – Mr. Bicknell The Town Manager is working with other towns to hire an administrator to work across the  towns to support community housing. Web Site Changes – Mr. Bicknell Changes have been made to promote the lottery for four LexHab units.  Please review the web site and send comments to Mr. Bicknell, so that the web site can be  updated. 5. Vine Street Affordable Housing Plans There will be a meeting on March 19 with the Planning Committee and Town Manager to determine the approach for dealing with the existing historic farm house and to develop affordable housing on the site. The next meeting will be held on April 29, 2010 or just after Town Meeting. The meeting was concluded at 9:29 pm.
