81 westview ----- Cody advised the Board that neighbors from 87 westview met with Cody <br />because they have lived there for 7 years and they were wondering what is happening <br />with the - property. Cody mentioned that in order to participate in the Attorney's General <br />Abandoned Properties Program, a title search will be required. <br />Pool Variance ReA.uests —Cody advised the Board that the following pools has requested <br />relief in the form of a variance from 105 CMR 435.23 (1) Lifeguards: <br />Starwoods — Aloft & Element Pool Permits <br />Geller motioned that the Lexington board of Health grants the variance request <br />from the requirement of lifeguards for the safe operation of pools as listed under <br />105 CMR 435.23 (1). In addition, all the requirements of 105 CMR 435.23 (2) <br />shall be met including all signage which includes: "warning No Lifeguard on <br />Duty" in easy to read, legible letters which are at least four inches high "Children <br />under age of 16 should not use swimming pool without an adult in attendance" <br />and another sign that states, "Adults should not swim alone ". This variance only <br />applies only to the Starwood Hotels, Aloft and Element Seasonal Pool facilities <br />which have made the request in writing. This variance will expire at the end of <br />the seasonal pool season or upon notification of an unsafe operating condition at a <br />specific facility. Perlmutter seconded. All approved. <br />Caulk Testing �U;pdate. ---- Cody advised the Board that the results of the July 16 <br />testing done at the Town Administration Bldg., Clark Middle School and <br />Estabrook have been received and the Town Administration Bldg. and Clark are <br />fine. Estabrook School will require additional testing. Cody, Goddard and about <br />6 consultants from Environmental Health and Engineering m.et at the school and it <br />was discovered that the ventilation system was not up and running at the time of <br />the test. Retesting will take place at Estabrook with all the ventilation working. <br />Mosquito Control Update — David Henley of the Eastern Middlesex Mosquito <br />Control Program advised Cody that they are testing some mosquitos in Lexington. <br />They have already testing positive in Waltham and Arlington. Cody has the <br />Mosquito information brochure ready, the catch basins have been treated and an <br />educational session was held at the library. <br />Emer Preparedness Update — Cody mentioned that because the world <br />Health Organization does not consider it a pandemic any longer funds some of the <br />anticipated funding will not be as great. Cody spoke with representatives from <br />Sanofi who supply the State with flu vaccine and they will sell it to us at the State <br />price of $9.97/dose. <br />Perlmutter motioned to adj ourn.
