Community Preservation Committee <br />Annual Town Meeting 2008 <br />The Community Preservation Committee is pleased to recommend fourteen projects to Town <br />Meeting for its consideration and approval, as described on the following pages. Each of these <br />projects was evaluated in light of the articulated criteria for acceptable CPA projects as attached <br />to this report and vetted at one of two public hearings held on December 7 and December 20, <br />2007, respectively. Of note, also, is the fact that all fourteen projects have been reviewed by <br />Town Counsel and determined to be CPA eligible. <br />In addition to these fourteen projects, the CPC recommends approval of an allocation for <br />administrative expenses. The CPC is allowed to use up to five percent of yearly receipts for <br />expenses, or a minimum of $215,282 for FY2009 and we are, at this time, requesting $50,000. <br />This amount will be spent on a part-time staff person, mailings, notice publication, legal fees, <br />and other miscellaneous expenses. <br />Following the description of the fourteen 2008 CPC recommended projects, an update on twelve <br />2007 and seven 2006 CPA funded projects has been included.
