He noted that three Lexington petitions h <br />the Legislature g p ad not made � t through <br />and poi nted out the importance of sending his office <br />copies of any such bill earl i n the g e <br />y process. He also advised that his <br />name appear as co - sponsor or hills to ensure that he would be notified <br />of hearings and when the bill <br />s would come before the House. <br />The Senator reported that he had been working early fu ll-time ' <br />t - 9 w u1 ' time � n <br />late summe and the fall <br />on the expansion of local revenue sources. HP <br />was not optimistic that the local aid process would work well <br />and saw little chance th1 s year <br />that Lexington's sharp would be increased. He <br />felt that the Legislators will want more time than was as taken last year <br />to look at finance before making determinations on local aid, <br />Through expansion of the local revenue base the Senator would hope <br />to See property taxes lowered by greater reliance on othe <br />to see inclusion of income r evenue and <br />e tax revenue for cities and towns. Senator Kraus foresaw little change p o s s i b l e under the cu rrent <br />law. <br />Mr, Marsha noted the need for legislation to change maxim <br />feasible criteria and urged the join y um <br />g effort of the Selectmen, School <br />Committee and MMA to promote such legislation. <br />
