<br />Minutes of the Lexington Zoning Board of Appeals <br />Selectmen’s Meeting Room, Lexington Town Hall <br />February 1, 2010 <br /> <br /> <br />Board Members Present: Chairman Nyles N. Barnert, Arthur C. Smith Carolyn C. <br />Wilson, Martha C. Wood and Associate Members John Gilbert, Leo P. McSweeney and <br />David G. Williams <br /> <br />Staff Present: Garry Rhodes, Building Commissioner, Dianne L. Cornaro, Administrative <br />Clerk and David L. George, Zoning Administrator <br /> <br />Petition Address: 200 Patriot Way, Map 18, Lot 15F <br /> <br />Prior to the hearing, the petition and supporting data were reviewed by the Building <br />Commissioner, Conservation Administrator, Town Engineer, Health Director, Board of <br />Selectmen, the Zoning Administrator, the Planning Administrator and Historic Districts <br />Commission Clerk. Comments were received from the Building Commissioner, the <br />Conservation Administrator, Health Director, Selectmen’s Office, Historic District <br />Commission and the Zoning Administrator. <br /> <br />The Chairman opened the hearing at 7:30 pm by reading the legal notice and described <br />information received from the petitioner relative to the petition. Mr. Barnert explained <br />the history of the 2004 plan that was approved by the Lexington Town Meeting. At this <br />time the applicant is before the Board to present plans for the proposed Building 200 <br />which had been approved as part of the amended PSDUP. Neither the amended DSDUP <br />nor findings of fact have been submitted as required pursuant to the CD rezoning and <br />SPS zoning bylaw provision. The application for this hearing was not complete. <br /> <br />Attorney Robert Buckley presented the petition for the applicant, Shire HGT, Inc. Also <br />present was Jim Winiarski of Shire Pharmaceuticals, Attorney Peter Corbett of Goulston <br />& Storrs, John Hart, Civil Engineer with Symes Maini & McKee Associates, and Michael <br />Giardina Design Principal with Kling-Stubbins. <br /> <br />Attorney Buckley explained the development of the project. They filed new plans for the <br />200 building and had requested this hearing with the hope that they would be able to give <br />an overview of the project and to gather public input. They are planning on filing the <br />amended DSUP within the next two weeks. <br /> <br />They had a hearing scheduled with the Design Advisory Committee in the next week and <br />do not need any new plans or filings for Conservation. <br /> <br />John Hart the Civil Engineer for the project walked the Board thru the site plan for the <br />200 Building. Michael Giardina, the Design Principal, spoke of the design aspects of the <br />project. <br /> <br />Attorney Buckley stated there were a number of issues such as noise, reflection and the <br />landscaping that still need addressing <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
