Second row, <br />left to right: David Williams, Leo McSweeney, Dan Lucas and David <br />George <br />HIGHLIGHTS: <br />• There were ninety -six hearings in 2007. <br />• There were forty -four applications for variances, and <br />forty -eight applications for Special Permits, two special <br />permit renewals, two amended special permits, seven spe- <br />cial permit modifications and one Revision to a Special <br />Permit. Five petitions were continued and nine petitions <br />were withdrawn. <br />Board of Appeals 2007 Hearings <br />• There were seven appeals from Building Commissioner or <br />Zoning Enforcement Officer decisions. Four were over- <br />turned, two upheld and one was withdrawn. <br />• There were no petitions for Special Permits with Site Plan <br />Reviews on projects approved by the Annual Town <br />Meeting. <br />• There were no Comprehensive Permit (M.G.L.
