 <br />We still need approval from the Selectmen to hold the parade. In the event of <br /> <br />rain, we do have permission to move indoors to Cary Hall. <br /> <br />Suzie will order the bus for the ride to Westview Cemetery. <br /> <br /> <br />Bob Tracey will order the wreaths for the memorials. <br /> <br /> <br />A request has been made to the DPW for set up of the podium, speaker, chairs, <br /> <br />traffic horses and bags for parking meters. <br /> <br />The Lexington Fire Department is a new stop this year; dedication of the <br /> <br />memorial plaque will not occur until June. <br /> <br />Guests Michael DaRu and Sam Doran gave committee members a brief history of <br /> <br />their club (The Lt. Col. John W. Hudson Club of Lexington, MA) and suggested a <br />few additions to the ceremony. The Lt. Col. John W. Hudson Club of Lexington, <br />MA will join the scouts in the laying of a wreath at the civil war memorial, <br />followed by the reading of the Decoration of the GAR Plot statement by a club <br />member. <br /> <br />New business <br /> <br />Town Celebrations Committee membership. Suzie talked with the committee <br /> <br />about membership renewals. Linda Dixon received an application to join. <br /> <br />Summer projects. The reviewing stand is not in good condition. We need to <br /> <br />either have it repaired, if possible, or replace it with a new one. <br /> <br />Suzie will talk with the Minutemen about designating a handicap area for <br /> <br />viewing the reenactment.
