D . <br />Mr. white referenced the pranotion of Sgt, Robert Raposa to <br />Lieutenant and noted his excellent performance while a staff member of <br />the Traffic Safety Advisory Camni.ttee . <br />MINUTES <br />Up on motion duly made and seconded, it w voted 4 -- o , with Mr. <br />Eddison abstaining due to absence at that meeting, to approve as <br />resented the minutes of the Selectmen's Meeting on August �9, 1988. <br />P <br />It was also voted 3 - 0, with Mr. Eddison and Mr. Dailey abstaining, to <br />approve the minutes of September 1, 19880 <br />SE1ZCTNRVS FY 89 GOALS <br />Mr. White reviewed with the Board his draft of the Goals of the <br />Board of Selectmen for FY89 , as discussed at the Boar'd's June 1988 Goal <br />Setting Meeting. Mr. white urged the Board to let him know of any <br />revisions needed. Mr. Marshall c plemented the Town Manager on his <br />P Pte' anon of the Goal Statement reflecting the Board's discussions, <br />re <br />but asked that the Board's role in maintaining existing services be <br />specifically mentioned. <br />Upo motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the <br />Selectmen's Goals and objectives for FY89 as amended. <br />MICROCOMPUTER TRAINING SCHEDULE <br />Mr. white described the Microca�mputer Training Schedule for Fall <br />1988, noting the Town's significant investment in camPuter equipment. He <br />referred to the favorable results of the formal training pr am <br />initiated the P revious year and his plan to bring more sophistication to <br />the Fall's aggressive rogram under the leadership of Candy N�cLaiughlin <br />g� p <br />of his staff. The Manager thanked the Board for its support of the <br />acquisition of equipment and the hiring of the training staff. <br />°� <br />All Selectmen expressed their pleasure in seeing progre ss with the <br />training and use of camputers. Mr. Marshall stressed that <br />standardization of equipment was important and should be considered when <br />new purchases are planned. <br />PINE IMADOWS, PMEHASE & SALE AGRMVIENT <br />Mr. white reviewed with the Board details of the Purchase and Sal <br />Bement with Pine Meadows Country Club, Inc. and a Lease under which <br />"'""` � e until December 31, <br />the Club can continue to operate the golf coots <br />1989. The terms of the Lease relative to upkeep of the course and <br />winter use were discussed. <br />
