The adverse <br />impact on the Cambridge Reservoir <br />and Hobbs Brook Basin was also of concern. <br />The County Commissioners will view the site on March 9th and wil <br />make their decision by April 5th, Mr. Eddison asked the Lexing •� <br />Minute -Man to ublicize the proposal p p p and its implications, as had been <br />done with the Tracer Lane proposal. <br />LCC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE POSTER CONTEST <br />Mr. McSweeney reported that winners of the Crosswalk Observance <br />poster contest sponsored by the Lexington Center Committee and the <br />Chamber of Commerce will, be honored by both groups on February I th <br />the Selectmen's Meeting n <br />Room at Y <br />g �. �� p.m. Thirty ,,o forty entries had <br />been received from students in the Lexington Schools and of these <br />three High School and three Elementary School students were declared <br />winners and will receive cash prizes contributed by the Chamber of <br />Commerce. Mr. McSweeney invited Board Members to attend, if p ossible. <br />RECREATION BUDGET REVIEW <br />Joan Halverson, Recreation Director, was present for review of the <br />budget requests of the Recreation Committee. The Committee will be <br />asking for a 5% raise for seasonal workers' salar and additional <br />tennis leader and an 3th week of Special deeds summer camp. The <br />Recreation budget is offset by revenue from fees and state g rants which <br />resulted last year in net cost to the Town of about $35,000 +. Also <br />requested will be an appropriation for Winter, as well as Spring and <br />Fall, Special Needs classes. <br />Capital request in the amount of $9O for rehabilitation of the <br />tennis courts at the Center Field was discussed. If approved, <br />construction would start in mid August, so as to cause as little ...r <br />disruption as possible. Mr. White recommended that this work g o ahead <br />this years <br />Budget requests of the Recreation Department amount to $210,217., <br />including Personal Services. The request had received the approval of <br />the Town Manager, <br />RECREATION FEE SCHEDULE <br />Ms. Halverson referred to the recommendation of the Recreation <br />Committee that Pool Membership and blanket Bal' fie' d Permits fees be <br />increased. A chart showing additional revenue to be expected from <br />these rate hikes in the amount of $II,204, was noted. <br />The Selectmen expressed support of the fee increases as proposed. <br />MEETING SCHEDULE <br />Tt was agreed that regular Selectmen's Meeting will be held on <br />February 22, 23 March 7 32, 2l, 23, and 30th, The meetings on March <br />28 and March 30 will commence at 7 :00 p.m. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />LIMOUSINE LICENSE <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the <br />application of Keith Rumbo, Air Limo Services, Inc. 233 Littleton Rd., <br />Westford, MA for Limousine License for transportation from Westford to <br />Logan Airport passing through Lexington. <br />COMMITMENT OF CYCLE 3 WATER BILLS <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the <br />commitment of Cycle 9 Water B i 11 s for the month of February, in the <br />amount of $29,307.42. <br />
