�2- <br />MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 9 19 Of! <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve, p , as <br />amended, the minutes of the open meeting of the Selectmen on September 9 <br />1986. p <br />The minutes of the Executive Session of September 9, were ap <br />subject to a correction to be made in Executive Session, <br />ABANDONMENT /DISMANTLEMENT. LE}{INGTON BRANCH LINE OF RAILROAD <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve an <br />affidavit and certif of the resolution of the Board reflecting its <br />support of a motion to the United States District Court to amend its <br />memorandum and order to permit the abandonment and dismantlement of the <br />Lexington Branch line of railroad. Mr. Eddison was authorized to sign the <br />affidavit on behalf of the Board, <br />LWVIHAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION FEES <br />Mr. Eddison referred to a memorandum from Judith Marshall, Chairman of <br />the League of Women Voters, concerning waiver of the user fee charged in the <br />past for the annual collection of hazardous household wastes. Mrs. Marshall <br />had noted the joint Lincoln /Lexington collection planned for this ear, and <br />y , <br />the fact that Lincoln will not be charging its residents for the service. <br />In order to avoid confusion at the joint site and resentment of Lexington <br />residents, she asked that the fee be waived. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted, as requested by the <br />League of Women Voter, to waive the fee of $4.00 per pound /gallon in excess <br />of 5 pounds /gallons of hazardous waste as previously charged at the waste <br />site. It was also voted that containers for donations to offset costs. , be <br />installed at the collection site. <br />MEETING SCHEDULE <br />Tuesday, October 7, 1986 <br />Tuesday, October 21, 1986 <br />Tuesday, October 28, 1986 <br />Tuesday, November 4, 1986 <br />The October 28th meeting will be posted, but will be cancelled if the <br />Selectmen's work load allows. <br />RESIGNATION - MINUTEMAN BIKEWAY IMPLEMENTATION COMMITTEE <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to accept the <br />resignation of Judith Uhrig as representative of the Planning Board on the <br />Minuteman Bikeway Implementation Committee. <br />
