4 -2- <br />G <br />Mr. Dailey stated that he felt that Mr. Holland had rights regarding <br />the don's intrusion on his property and the excessive barking and <br />recommended that Mr. Estow be ordered to restrain his dog and control its <br />barking. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted that this dog be <br />restrained while outdoors on Mr. Estow's property by means of a tether, <br />chain or dog run and when off his property by means of a leash. It is also <br />ordered that he take steps to effectively control the dog's barking to <br />alleviate disturbances caused. <br />If at the end of ten day from the date of the order it is found, upon <br />investigation by the Animal Control Officer, that these procedures have not <br />been implemented, the dog will be picked up and will be under the <br />Jurisdiction of the Animal Control officer. <br />EMERALD STREET LOTS <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve and execute <br />an Order of Taking for Lots 198, 197 on Emerald Street, shown on Assessors' <br />Property Map as Lot 198, and Deed conveying the land to the Lexington Rotary <br />Club. <br />STATE CENSUS CERTIFICATION FORM <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve and execute <br />a State Census Certification Form, showing the population of the Town, <br />according to the 1985 State Census, to be 29,224. <br />NOTE IN ANTICIPATION, CH. 90 <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to acept the bid of <br />the Shawmut County Sank for a note in anticipation of highway reimbursement <br />under Chapter 90, in the amount of $50,000, at a rate of 4 111 %. <br />Brief discussion followed on the short term of the note, which the Town <br />Treasurer had explained was due to current uncertainty in the market. <br />AM Mr. Cohen referred to the pending tax reform legislation with its <br />current effective date of January 1, 1988. He explained how this provision <br />was adding to the uncertainties of the market since purchasers were afraid <br />that tax exempt bonds could become taxable. <br />He suggested that the Town's position in opposition to this aspect of <br />the legislation be communicated to the two U.S. Senators from Massachusetts. <br />TRAFFIC COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />CODA.,„ FLETCHER AVENUE <br />The Board reviewed the request of Nancy Coda for installation of a <br />"Deaf Child" sign on Fletcher Avenue, and the report of the Traffic Safety Advisory Committee on the matter. <br />Dr. Clarke attended to represent the Traffic Safety Committee. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to accept the <br />recommendations of the Traffic Safety Advisory Committee that a "Deaf Child" <br />sign be installed on Fletcher Avenue. Mrs. Coda will be asked for <br />suggestions as to the most effective placement of the sign. . <br />
