But what opportunities should we consider pursuing for FY2008 and beyond? Here <br />are a few to consider: <br /> <br /> Examine the total compensation package provided to employees relative to peer towns <br /> <br /> Examine class size and course load throughout the school system relative to peer towns <br /> <br /> Lobby at the state and national level to obtain more funding for education mandates <br /> <br /> Lobby the governor and state legislature to restore State Aid to pre-2003 levels. <br /> <br /> Pursue energy conservation measures to reduce energy costs <br /> <br /> Examine potentially redundant services (East Lexington Library, etc.) <br /> <br /> Explore additional fee opportunities <br /> <br /> Page 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
