e <br />SELECTMEN'S MEETING <br />November 19, 1984 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on <br />Monday, November 19, 1984, in the Selectmen's Meeting Room, <br />Town Office Building, at 7:30 p.m. Chairman Battin, Mr. Sacco, <br />Mr. McLaughlin, Mr. Marshall, Mr. Eddison; Mr. Hutchinson, Town <br />Manager; Mr. Cohen, Town Counsel; Ms. Adler; Assistant to the <br />Town Manager; and Mrs. Snow, Executive Clerk, were present. <br />At 7:30 p .m. , the Chairman opened a public hearing on the Public Hearing <br />petition of Boston Gas Company f or installation of breather post Boston Gas Co. <br />on Eldred Street. Mr. Foley of the Boston Gas Company was present Eldred Street <br />to explain the need f'or the installation in existing regular pit. <br />Mrs. Battin noted memorandum from Director of Public Works/ <br />Engineer recommending approval of the petition. <br />There being no comments in favor or in opposition, the <br />hearing was declared closed, <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to grant <br />approval to Boston Gas Company for installation of one 4" steel <br />breather post for existing pit Located on Eldred Street. <br />At 7:33 p.m., Mrs. Battin opened a public hearing on the <br />petition of Boston Gas Company for installation of breather post <br />on Winthrop Road. Mr. Foley again explained the purpose of the <br />installation in existing pit. <br />Mrs. Battin noted recommendation of the Director of Public <br />Works /Engineer for approval of the petition. <br />There being no comments in favor or in opposition, the <br />hearing was declared closed. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to grant <br />approval to Boston Gas Company for installation of one 4" steel <br />breather post for existing pit located on Winthrop Road. <br />The Chairman noted petition of New England Telephone and <br />Boston Edison Companies for' j o int ownership of five existing <br />poles on Maguire Road. The petition did not require a public <br />hearing. <br />Memorandum from the Director of Public Works /Engineer, <br />recommending approval of the petition was read. <br />There being no comments in favor or in opposition, the <br />hearing was declared closed. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to ap- <br />prove the request of New England Telephone Company and Boston <br />Edison Company to become joint owners of five existing poles <br />on the northerly side, approximately to T easterly of Westview <br />Street on Maguire Road. <br />Public Hearing <br />Boston Gas Co. <br />Winthrop Rd. <br />N.E.
