Januar y 19, 1954 <br />A meeting of the of Selectmen was held in the Selectmen's Meeting <br />Room, Town office Building, at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 19, 1984. <br />Chairman Politi, Mrs. Battin, Mr. Sacco, Mr. McLaughlin; Mr. Hutchinson, <br />Town Manager; Miss Adler, Assistant _ to the Town Manager and Mrs. Snow, Acting <br />Executive Clerk. <br />The Town Manager reviewed Exhibit 4 of his proposed budget for Fiscal Capital <br />Year 1985 - Capital Article Requests. Mr. Tonaszuck, Director of Public requests <br />Works and Engineering, was in attendance for presentation of his department's DPW <br />Capital requests in the following categories: <br />Street Acceptance <br />Street Recons-truction - <br />Bedford Street <br />Spring Street Traffic Improvement <br />Sanitary Sewers <br />MDC Sewer Connections <br />Sewer System Improvements <br />Water Systems <br />Storm Drains <br />Sidewalks <br />Brook Reclamation <br />,. Parking Improvements <br />Parking <br />Fence work <br />Sewer System I / I <br />Brick Stair Replacement <br />Road Machinery <br />Radio Base Station System <br />Handicapped Ramp (Cary) <br />Renovations 201 Bedford Street <br />Wes tview Cemetery Development <br />Robert Hilton, Director of Cary Memorial Library, was present for review Cary <br />of the Library's Personal Services and Expense Budgets, and Capital request Library <br />for an automated circulation system. The Town Manager recommended deferral budget <br />of the circulation system pending report of the Data Processing; Committee <br />on overall Town computer needs. <br />Jacquelyn Smith, Chairman of the Planning Board, and Robert Bowyer, Plan- Planning <br />ning Director,, - were in attendance for discussion of the Board's Personal Board <br />Services request for expansion of staffing. The Town Manager recommended budget <br />against staff expansion in general and advocated additional contractual <br />support for the Planning Department to implement scheduled projects and to <br />assist with out-of - department demands on its staff . <br />Board of Health member Linda Roemer and Health Director George Smith Board of <br />an* were present for review of the Health Board's Personal Services and Expense Health <br />Budget requests. The Board is requesting provision of a part --time intern budget <br />
