ARTICLE 37 APPROPRIATE FOR PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a sum of money to construct a new DPW operations <br /> facility at 201 Bedford Street, including architectural and engineering services necessary in <br /> connection therewith, determine whether the money shall be provided by the tax levy, by <br /> transfer from available funds, by borrowing, or by any combination of these methods, or act in <br /> any other manner in relation thereto <br /> (Inserted by the Board of Selectmen) <br /> FUNDS REQUESTED unknown at press time <br /> DESCRIPTION At the 2005 Annual Town Meeting, $720,000 was appropriated for the <br /> design of a new public works facility Given the anticipated scope of this facility, it appears <br /> that additional funding for design and construction documents will be necessary A revised <br /> schematic design and cost estimates will be presented to Town Meeting for consideration. <br /> ARTICLE 38 APPROPRIATE FOR MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC FEASIBILITY STUDY <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropnate a sum of money to investigate the feasibility of setting up <br /> a municipal electnc utility plant; determine whether the money shall be provided by the tax levy by <br /> transfer from available funds, or by any combination of these methods, or act in any other manner in <br /> relation thereto <br /> (Inserted by the Board of Selectmen at the request of the Electnc Utility Ad Hoc Committee) <br /> FUNDS REQUESTED $150,000 <br /> DESCRIPTION Several years ago the Board of Selectmen appointed an Electnc Utility Ad <br /> Hoc Committee to look into a number of subjects relating to the supply of electnc energy in the <br /> Town. This article requests funds to do an in-depth study of the feasibility of setting up a <br /> municipal electnc utility which ultimately could supply Town residents and businesses with a <br /> source of power at lower rates than presently exist. <br /> ARTICLE 39 APPROPRIATE FOR POST EMPLOYMENT BENEFITS <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a sum of money to the Town of Lexington Post <br /> Employment Insurance Liability Fund, as established by Chapter 317 of the Acts of 2002, <br /> determine whether the money shall be provided by the tax levy, by transfer from available funds, <br /> including enterprise funds, or by any combination of these methods, or act in any other manner <br /> in relation thereto <br /> (Inserted by the Board of Selectmen) <br /> FUNDS REQUESTED unknown at press time <br /> 27 <br />
