Barnert, Arthur C. Smith, Carolyn C. <br /> Wilson and Associate Member Leo P. McSweeney <br /> Staff Present: Dianne L. Cornaro, Administrative Clerk and David L. George, Zoning <br /> Administrator <br /> Petition Address: 36 Bedford Street, Map 57, Lot 14F <br /> Prior to the hearing, the petition and supporting data were reviewed by the Building <br /> Commissioner, Conservation Administrator, Town Engineer, Health Director, Board of <br /> Selectmen, the Zoning Administrator, the Planning Administrator and the Historic <br /> Districts Commission Clerk. Comments were received from the HDC clerk and the <br /> Zoning Administrator. <br /> The Chairman opened the hearing at 9:19 pm by reading the legal notice and described <br /> information received from the petitioner relative to the petition. <br /> Christina Moreau from Agnoli Signs, representing Stop and Shop, presented the petition. <br /> As part of its rebranding, the applicant seeks two special permits in accordance with the <br /> Zoning Bylaw section 135 -78 D to allow for more or larger signs than that which is <br /> allowed. They will remove and replace two signs: 1) the existing main wall sign and 2) <br /> the secondary wall sign (Worthen Rd side). <br /> The Historic District Commission has approved these signs. <br /> The Board had no questions. <br /> There were no questions from the audience. <br /> No one in the audience spoke either in favor of or in opposition to the petition. <br /> The hearing was closed at 9:22 pm. <br /> On a motion by Leo P. McSweeney and seconded by Carolyn C. Wilson, the Board voted <br /> 5 -0 to grant two special permits for more and larger signage than that which is allowed at <br /> Stop and Shop, 36 Bedford Street as per plans submitted. <br /> Submitted by: Dianne Cornaro, Administrative Clerk <br />
