7A11i <br />PW <br />1 . --7) Y, <br />Selectmen's Meeting <br />M7= <br />July 26, 1982 <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the <br />installation of barrier posts at the LEXPI ESS stop in Depot Square such <br />posts to be 4- 12 feet high with reflectors for a trial period until <br />November 1. At the end of this trial period, a report will be submitted <br />to the Board from the Transportation Advisory Committee, Police Depart - <br />ment and the Department of Public wov s relative to the effectiveness of <br />the barriers. <br />The Chai.rman thanked the Transportation Advisory Committee for its <br />report and they retired from the meeting.. <br />Mrs. Batt.in reported to the Board that the Center Devitalization is <br />Committee is very concerned about "meter feeding" of the parking meters. <br />She questioned apt. Lira relative to regulations regarding. raising the <br />fine and he said that it could be placed in Class B which would be a fine <br />of $10.00. He suggested raising the charges for all three categories of <br />parking fines and putting "overtime" parking violations into group A to B. <br />The Board will discuss the matter further and vote regarding a change at <br />future meeting. <br />The Chairman reported to the Board that the Building Commissioner <br />had reported that the management of the Battle Green Inn had implemented <br />most of the necessary corrections relating to structural changes with the <br />exception of .new domes being completely installed in the court areas. <br />The Chairman recommended that the suspension of the Innkeeper License im- <br />posed by the Beard on April 13 relative to room occupancy be removed. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to remove the sus- <br />pension of the Innkeeper. License for the Battle Green Inn subject to new <br />domes being completely installed in the court areas and inspection by the <br />Building Commissioner by November 150 <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to accept the gift <br />of approximately 2. 5 acres of land from Francis W. K. Smith and .Jacque - <br />lyn R.
