(WARRANT FOR SPECIAL STATE PRIMARIES - SEE WARRANT FILE) SPECIAL STATE PRIMARIES October 4, 1977 On June 21, 1977 Carol C. Amick was elected Senator in General Court for the 5th Middlesex District to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Ronald C. MacKenzie. She thereafter resigned as Representative in General Court for the 37th Middlesex District. Speaker of the House of Representatives, Thomas W. McGee, called for a Special Primary to be held October 4, 1977 and a Special Election to be held November 1, 1977 in the 37th Middlesex Representative District (Precincts 7 and 8 in Lexington; Precincts 7 and 10 in Billerica; and all of Bedford) to fill this vacancy. In pursuance of the warrant the legal voters of the Town of Lexington met in their respective voting places in said Town of Lexington on Tuesday, October 4, 1977 at 7:00 in the forenoon. The following places were designated as the voting places for the two precincts: Precinct Seven, Estabrook School; Precinct Eight, Central Fire Station. The polls were declared open in each of the two precincts at seven o'clock A.M. and remained open until eight o'clock P.M., at which time, after due notice, they were declared closed. The total number of registered voters in each of the two precincts eligible to vote as of September 14, 1977 as follows:.
