WOZ <br />LINCOLN STREET "BLIND DRIVEWAY" SIGN HUTCHINSON <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was ; f 4o approve <br />►� <br />the recommendation of the Traffic Committee that a Blind <br />Driveways" sign be installed on Lincoln Street between = 209 and <br />#219, to benefit both #219 and #229 Lincoln Street, <br />TRAFFIC.' LIGHT- PLEASANT ST . MASS . AVENUE <br />Mr. Chalpin reviewed the report of his Committee on the <br />request for traffic light installation at Pleasant Street and <br />:Mass. Avenue by John Jayne. <br />The Committee would, defer making any recommendation at this <br />time and requested that the Engineering Department gather the <br />data necessary to analyze traffic signals warrant compliance at <br />the intersection. After comparing the new data with a 1956 <br />analysis at the same location, the Committee would formulate its <br />recommendation. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was v oted to approve <br />the recommendation of the Traffic Safety Advisory Commi on <br />the request of John Jayne, as stated above, and that the <br />Engineering Department be asked to begin its work on data <br />collection as quickly as possible. <br />Mr. white will keep the Board informed on the situation. <br />MARRETT ROAD WALTHAM STREET SIGNALS <br />Mr. Chalpin noted the traffic backups which take place at <br />Waltham Street and Marrett Road during the evening peak hours. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted that the <br />!lass. D.P.W. be requested to investigate timing adjustments in Now <br />the traffic signals to try to lessen the backups. <br />It was also voted that the Engineering Department conduct a <br />study of traffic flow at the intersection for submittal to the <br />State D.P.W4 :hen requesting the signal adjustments. <br />C'LEAMATI S ROAD/ALLEN STREET JON BRYAN <br />Mr. (_halpin read the recommendations of his Committee ill <br />response to expressions of concern by Jon Bryan for traffic <br />safety at Clematis Road and Allen Street because of motorists <br />speeding and driving carelessly when arriving and leaving Trinity <br />Covenant Church on weekday mornings. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted: <br />A "Yield" sign will be installed on Clematis Road at Allen <br />Street, since warrants for a "Stop" sign at this <br />location are not satisfied. <br />. A single yellow centerline will be installed on Allen <br />Street from Waltham Street to beyond Clematis Road. <br />. The mailbox cluster at the intersection of Allen Street <br />and Clematis Road will be relocated to the opposite <br />corner and brush within the Town right-of-way removed <br />to improve visibility to the right when exiting from <br />Clematis Road. <br />
